The two case studies analyzed are the development of the Huma Island Resort and Spa in the Philippines and the Meridian Adventure Dive Resort in Indonesia. These are both high-end resorts built in remote locations using modular construction methods. This new construction method is clearly the best approach for developing such resorts. The paper summarizes the process followed to develop both resorts to identify other good practices and the main problems likely to be encountered and how they can best be overcome. This analysis provides a detailed roadmap that future hotel developers can follow to effectively and efficiently create similar properties.
2022-09-23T00:00:00-03:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Value Management Journal https://valuemanagementjournal.com/index.php/public/article/view/6 Success Factors of a Technological Entrepreneurship Project 2022-09-23T14:17:58-03:00 Alex Cayrol info@valuemanagementjournal.com Yan Castonguay info@valuemanagementjournal.com Rhizlane Hamouti info@valuemanagementjournal.com
Abstract - This article has several objectives. First, this research wishes to state the existing knowledge about the technological entrepreneurship project concept. Secondly, the success indicators of this type of project and their factors determining this success have been identified. A systematic review of the literature has identified 29 articles on this subject. Although there are several definitions of the technological entrepreneurship concept, no clear definition of the technological entrepreneurship project concept was found. Following the identification of the indicators measuring the success of a technological entrepreneurship project, this research identified several success factors: importance of a market study, considering user’s needs, communication with the user, technical feasibility, culture and managerial skills, process associated with the technological entrepreneurship project, and financial analysis.
2022-09-23T00:00:00-03:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Value Management Journal https://valuemanagementjournal.com/index.php/public/article/view/7 Integration potentiality of Blockchain technology within BIM enabled projects 2022-09-23T14:38:41-03:00 Assam Hammi info@valuemanagementjournal.com Abdelhak Belhi info@valuemanagementjournal.com Houssem Gasmi info@valuemanagementjournal.com Abdelaziz Bouras info@valuemanagementjournal.com
Abstract— Information safety in BIM enabled projects represents a key factor for the whole process success. Data security concerns are critical during the entire lifecycle of any built asset from design until demolition. Unsuitable distribution of sensitive information may cause financial loss, lack of trust and even physical security threats. This paper highlights through a literature review the integration’s potentiality of Blockchain technology within BIM enabled projects that would tackle those security issues and would provide more trust and reliability. This paper also highlights some of the advantages offered by the contribution of distributed ledger technology and smart contracts to the digitalization and digital transformation of the AEC-FM sector in terms of procurement, payment and supply chain management.
2022-09-23T00:00:00-03:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Value Management Journal
